Police and firefighters are public services, public health care is not

I'm having a hard time understanding, Rush, how police or firefighters or paramedics are "public services" and PUBLIC HEALTHCARE is NOT?

Just because we have not handled it that way before doesn't mean that's not right.

We are the ONLY industrial nation that does not do that.

And if Rush thinks that using public funds for public services is "the fancy pickpocket" he should be consistent.

And what does the City Council have to do with it? Some PUBLIC SERVICES are provide at the City level. Some at the County level. Some at the State level. Some at the Federal level (FEMA, military, where do I start...)

That doesn't make ANY sense!

HEALTH CARE GOES WITH PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, which Rush equates with "theft" - so be consistent, he must hate 'em ALL!
