Obama associated with radical Saul Alinsky!

Rush Limbaugh said the following today:

"The truth is that from the time Obama was a teenager, he associated with and was influenced by radical thinkers--communists, socialists, black nationalists, etc."

According to Limbaugh, one of these radical thinkers with whom Obama associated was Saul Alinsky.

Let's consider the facts. Alinsky died on June 12, 1972, in Carmel, California.

Obama was born on august 4, 1961, in Hawaii. From age 6 to age 10, i.e. between 1967 and 1971, Obama lived in Indonesia.

Did he fraternize with Alinsky in Indonesia?
How much contact did Obama have with Alinsky before he died? Obama was not yet 11 when Alinsky died.

Ithink that I understand that Limbaugh doesn't like Obama. and that's fine. A lot of conservatives on AM radio don't like Obama, either. I think that's fine, too.

But if you don't like Obama, can you at least be rational in your dislike of the man?

Call him a slimy weasel or a polecat, if that makes you feel better.

But if you intend to smear his character with names that question his honor, his integrity, or his patriotism, you should provide the evidence to back it up.

I am intrigued that some who consider themselves patriotic, religious Americans go on the radio and say that the atmosphere of American politics is nasty. They try to indict those who respond to scurrilous lies, while saying nary a harsh word about those who disseminate them.
