It is cheating not to get 60 votes in Senate for health care

I believe it was the Republicans, who were in the majority at the time, during the early Bush years, who wanted to vote to do away with the filibuster option so that they would not have to put up with too much minority opposition. Remember, the 'nuclear option'. The Republicans were going to change the rules of the Senate so that all votes were simple majorities. They did not have quite enough votes, so they were going to bring in Dick Cheney as president of the Senate to cast the tie breaker. But now, simple majorities are cheating. Interesting.

They seem to have changed their minds about this. Classy!
