The sleight of hand paid liar named Limbaugh likes to quote the following:
Unemployment figures. Now who wants to argue that FDR fixed the unemployment problem and not WWII.
1933 25%
1934 28%
1935 20%
1936 17%
1937 14%
1938 19%
1939 17%
1940 15%
1941 10%
Pearl Harbor
1942 5%
1943 2%
1944 1%
1945 2%
We must show our appreciation to Limbaugh et. al. for confirming once again the steady decrease in unemployment by FDR until war sabers began to rattle in Europe, followed by a complete elimination of unemployment during World War II.
Small amounts of government peacetime (productive) spending led to small reductions in unemployment.
Large amounts of government wartime (destructive) spending led to large reductions in unemployment.
Thank you Iceman for this affirmation:
small government spending = small reductions in unemployment.
large government spending = large reductions in unemployment.
