In a photo of the DC marchers, I can make out 3 signs held up by protesters. One says something about Nazis. Another says that Jesus is the Messiah, not Obama. The third is that Franklin line about trading freedom for security and deserving neither.
Honestly, folks, I feel like I am living on the grounds of a huge madhouse, or an old fashioned institution for the retarded. These people were obviously (I'm guessing) Bush backers. So NOW they haul out the Franklin quote?
Do they know what the words mean? Messiah? Only right-wingers ever said Obama was Messiah-like. Nazis? Anyone have a dictionary or take a history class?
The GOP clearly has bet the house on winning over the very dumbest people we have and feeding them utter nonsense to get them angry about they-know-not-what (except they don't want to pay more in taxes...uh, have their taxes gone up since January?...have they?).
This is why I have come to hold the GOP, and their regular-American followers, in real contempt. I used to dislike the GOP for their policies, but at least those who voted GOP understood what they were voting for.
Now that the country is dumbed down to this degree, all I see is trained seals.
Makes me kinda sick to see this happen to our country.
