The intolerant 'it'
Returning to our car at Vons in Solana Beach yesterday, we could smell the stench of rotting brain, a smell drifting across the nation nowadays (the "deathers" et al). Sure enough, someone with a maggot-infested brain had scribbled a barely legible note on our Obama sticker that read "Pay your taxes you idiot, the best is yet to come." What did this mean?
The scribbler knew two things about us: We supported President Obama and are disabled (parked in a disabled spot). In spite of "its" limited knowledge, "it" assumed superiority and judged us inferior.
"It" didn't know we accumulated sufficient wealth to retire 18 years ago at 53 and 55. That in our lifetime we paid more taxes than most scribblers will probably ever earn.
"It" didn't know we are well-educated professionals (nuclear engineer and corporate CEO) -- not exactly idiots.
But we know a lot about the scribbler. "It" makes judgments without facts. "It" doesn't respect people, property or the U.S. presidency. "It" is intolerant and foists "its" values through intimidation. We have to tolerate the scribblers because they will always be here in their stupefying ignorance and intolerance, but we shouldn't allow them take over this great nation.
