Government run organizations are failures

In reality, for all the badmouthing, the Post Office and DMV do their jobs quietly and efficiently, with the meager resources allotted to them. Your mail comes every day, no matter where you live, with a 97% on time record, and you go to DMV, you get your driver’s license or registration and, yeah, unless we want to hire more clerks and pay more taxes, you will wait your turn.

Medicaid and Social Security failed?

Just try to see how far you’d get trying to take people’s benefits away from them!
About as far as you’d get trying to take Stephen Hawking’s British Health Service care away from him - so sacrosanct that even Margaret Thatcher promised not to touch it!

Hey still CONfused cult member, when someone is breaking into your neighbor’s house, do you call the police?

When you see your neighbor’s house on fire, do you call the fire department?

If your town is decimated by a hurricane, do you call FEMA (now that it is back under competent management)?

Do you expect the FDA to ensure that laboratory pharmaceuticals and manufactured foodstuffs conform to what is on the label?

Or do you reject all these “hairbrained ‘gummint’ plans”?

Obama is in political trouble. He is a failing president.

Did you folks see the cheering crowds at Obama's Town Hall in MONTANA?

The reason why there is so much hatred is because there are a lot of people making a lot of money profiting off the suffering of others and they don’t want it to stop.

If Obama were not making headway, if he weren’t such a threat to the old guard, you wouldn’t be hearing this kind of angry, vicious stuff.

The fact that ALL of the opposition is based on lies gives them a little traction up front, but once the lies are exposed, the facade collapses and they look even worse than ever.

Obama is going to win this one.
Obama will go down as one of the GREAT presidents in our country’s history - like the Roosevelts and Lincoln, both inspiring and effective.

His enemies HATE that!
His supporters beam with pride and admiration!

Obamacare has DEATH PANELS!

Okay, maybe the cons can help me out on this one. Do your folks have a clue? Are your memories so short they can't remember the stance your Con men in Congress took on this issue a few years ago.

Just what kind of politics are you guys practicing?

Grassley Voted For So-Called "Death Panel" In 2003

Time Magazine's Amy Sullivan pointed out last night that, for all of his ardent demagoguery on the so-called "death panels," Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) voted for just such a provision in 2003.

Remember the 2003 Medicare prescription drug bill, the one that passed with the votes of 204 GOP House members and 42 GOP Senators? Anyone want to guess what it provided funding for? Did you say counseling for end-of-life issues and care? Ding ding ding!!

So either Republicans were for death panels in 2003 before turning against them now--or they're lying about end-of-life counseling in order to frighten the bejeezus out of their fellow citizens and defeat health reform by any means necessary. Which is it, Mr. Grassley ("Yea," 2003)?

Reps. John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.), who both claimed end-of-life consultations could result in "government encouraged euthanasia," also voted for similar policy in 2003.

Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Pa.) tried to call Grassley on Friday and tell him he was wrong about health care reform. He got the senator's voicemail.

You know it would be hysterical if it wasn't so PATHETIC!

FDR spending made depression worse

The sleight of hand paid liar named Limbaugh likes to quote the following:
Unemployment figures. Now who wants to argue that FDR fixed the unemployment problem and not WWII.
1933 25%
1934 28%
1935 20%
1936 17%
1937 14%
1938 19%
1939 17%
1940 15%
1941 10%
Pearl Harbor
1942 5%
1943 2%
1944 1%
1945 2%

We must show our appreciation to Limbaugh et. al. for confirming once again the steady decrease in unemployment by FDR until war sabers began to rattle in Europe, followed by a complete elimination of unemployment during World War II.

Small amounts of government peacetime (productive) spending led to small reductions in unemployment.

Large amounts of government wartime (destructive) spending led to large reductions in unemployment.

Thank you Iceman for this affirmation:
small government spending = small reductions in unemployment.
large government spending = large reductions in unemployment.

KEYNES WAS RIGHT!

Homosexuality is not natural

Those on the far right who think that religious leaders should dictate public policy, and public officials should dictate where and how to engage in religious practices (on the public dime, of course), used to say that the absence of homosexuality in nature proved it to be unnatural.

Then, zoologists began finding examples of same-sex behaviors from throughout the animal kingdom, from our closest relatives the bonobos through many other mammal and bird species. So then the religious dictators began accusing those who cited THEIR claims based on nature of trying to make humans no better than animals.

When a pre-determined conclusion dictates your beliefs, I suppose the evidence can always be twisted to prove whatever you want.

In the long run, it is personal freedom to choose that must prevail.

Obama promised to bring the troops home in six months

Limbaugh obviously just cannot help himself. His pathological compulsion to LIE cannot be controlled.

Despite REPEATEDLY bringing to his attention his LIE about a pledge to bring the home in “six months,” Rush keeps repeating the same thing, over and over. Obama never made any such promise - throughout the campaign he repeatedly cited much longer time periods, saying that despite his pre-war opposition to invasion we had to be “as careful getting out as we were careless getting in.

Depsite repeated please for an objective, qualified source in which Obama made this “six months” pledge, Limbaugh NEVER PROVIDES ANY SUCH SOURCE. He just repeats his LIE, like a broken record as shattered as he has made the truth. He knows it is a lie. He knows he cannot document his claim.

He just can’t help himself.

Myth Al Gore claimed to invent the internet

This has been thoroughly debunked, on Snopes and many other sources. This PROPAGANDA LIE started when Al Gore stated during an interview with Wolf Blitzer March 9, 1999 and said he "took the initiative in creating the Internet" which accurately reflected his leadership role in passing the enabling legislation to open up and convert the old Arpanet into the Internet.

He never used the word "invent"; he used the term "create" in an appropriate legislative sense, in the same way that Eisenhower "created" the interstate highway system, without actually drawing up the plans.

After the slanderous misrepresentation was spread, initially from a misquote by Declan McCullagh in Wired News and later repeated in a debate line by liar Dubya Bush, Vint Cerf, who DID invent the Internet, wrote a spirited defense of Gore's statement, fully validating it, and Gore won the 2005 Webby FOR HIS LEGISLATIVE ROLE IN CREATING THE INTERNET.
