Rush is not racist

Rush is exactly right. His comments about Van Jones contains nothing racist whatsoever except noting that people are shocked when white suburban kids are violent.

But the charges that Rush and Jones' statement are racist displays beautifully how the right is 'thinking' these days.

Only whites are victims of discrimination. Mention the existence of racism against people of color and you are accused of being a racist with no supportive evidence whatsoever.

In other words, it's a rageful strategy of counterattack that is empty of content, or in simpler terms, today's GOP.

I remember when anyone who questioned Bush's military 'career' was immediately attacked for supporting Gore or Kerry, each of whose military careers was ridiculed. Same story.

United States of Stupid is too kind.

This is much more dangerous. This is the kind of mob mentality, stirred up by cynics who want the mob to take over for them, that we read about in the dark sections of history books.
